Kimberley Edwards has been working with ClwydAlyn for six years. She tells us how she’s progressed in her career in housing with support from her team.
“I started working at ClwydAlyn as a Housing Apprentice, moving between teams and really getting to know how the organisation works. After starting as a Housing Assistant in the contact centre, I progressed through Level 2 and Level 3 of the housing qualifications. When I saw a role advertised as an Income Officer, I jumped at the chance, and secured my first permanent role in housing. I am now an Anti-social Behaviour Assistant in the Housing Services department.
Doing the apprenticeship six years ago led to my passion for housing. I really enjoy being able to help people and find ways to support them. This is why I have started studying for a law degree as I feel it will allow me to help people even more.
Working at ClwydAlyn has given me the confidence and self-belief to continue learning and developing my career. The management team is very supportive and I am always encouraged to think outside the box. I’ve now found a career for life.”
