Wales is in a housing crisis. A problem that makes it incredibly difficult to buy a home, afford rent or secure shelter for the night. We don’t have enough homes!

Right now in Wales there are over 60,000 people waiting for social housing. Housing associations are the main contributors to tackling the housing crisis in Wales. They provide homes and build communities that make a difference to people’s lives. They are on track to build over 12,000 affordable homes by 2021, but they also have ambitions to do much more.

The sector has a vision to make good housing a basic right for all, and by 2036 aims to build 75,000 homes and create 150,000 jobs.
